HOLYOKE:  Anna M. “Annie” Lyons, age 98, of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Loomis House. She was one of eight children born to Alexander and Ana (Clouch) Milkiewicz. She was educated in Holyoke Public Schools and received her cosmetology license from the Kay Harvey School of Design. She worked in the Kay Harvey Salon in Holyoke, MA. Anna was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church where she was a member of the Women’s Club as well as a member of the Guild of St. Agnes. She was predeceased by her husband Willis E. Lyons in 1995, and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lyons in 2008. She was also predeceased by her brothers: Albert, William, and Edward Milkiewicz; and her sisters: Mae Pugliano, Julia Marshuck, and Nell Proulx. Anna is survived by a son, Martin M. Lyons and his partner Carole Plenty of Somesville, ME; a daughter, Mary A. Doyle and her husband John of Holyoke; three grandchildren: Daniel Lyons and his wife Danielle of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, Matthew Doyle and his wife Meredith of Marietta, GA, and Anne Doyle and her partner Don Hasson of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandchildren: Mason, Liam, and Bridget Doyle of Marietta, GA and Rowan Lyons of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. She is also survived by one sister, Rose Peyman of West Springfield, as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Donations may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
