WESTFIELD

Carol J. (Quenneville) Lamagdeleine, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Sunday, August 6, 2017. She was born in Holyoke on February 25, 1941 to the late Donald and Clara (Tenney) Quenneville. Carol attended Holyoke schools and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Donald Lamagdeleine on September 7, 1959. She was a parishioner of Mater Dolorosa Parish in Holyoke. Carol was employed by the Kmart Corporation of Holyoke where she worked for 27 years before retiring in 2003. She enjoyed reading, planting flowers, going to dinner with Kmart friends, visiting her brother Dick and sister-in-law Dot and longtime friends Jerry and Lydia Will. Her biggest love was sitting on the porch with her husband, Donald, and many Sunday afternoon conversations with her grandchildren. Carol was an avid bowler and a huge Red Sox fan. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald; Son’s Donald, Jr. and wife Kathy of Panama City, FL, Mark of Westfield, Steven and wife Trisha of Holyoke, and Robert of Westfield as well as her beloved grandchildren: Kristen, Amy, Ashley, Ryan, Jessica, Erika and Kiley, also her great-grandchildren Colton, Carson, and great-granddaughter to be Caroline Marie. Carol also leaves behind a brother Richard Quenneville and his wife Dorothy of Holyoke, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Jacesyn and a brother Donald Quenneville, Jr. The funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by Mass in St. Patrick’s Chapel of St. Jerome Church at 10:00am. Burial will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St. Springfield, MA 01105.
