Felice S. “Philip” Greco, age 80, of Holyoke, entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 18, 2017 at his home, with his wife at his side. Philip was the beloved husband of 46 years to Marsha (Klaczynski) Greco. He was born in Holyoke November 29, 1936, son of the late Sabato and Eugenia (Parentela) Greco and graduated from Holyoke Trade High School in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1959, and played in the Air Force Band. Prior to his retirement, Philip was a barber in Easthampton, MA. Called the “Haircutter”, Philip was a musician and a member of the Heritage Band, playing trumpet and drums. He was a member of the Lions Club in Easthampton, the Shriner’s, and was a past president and member of the Italian Progressive Society for many years. He had many friends and enjoyed travelling with his wife Marsha. Besides his wife, Philip is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Greco) Smith and her fiancé Keith of Hyde Park, NY; a daughter Donna (Greco) Sperbeck and her husband Joel of Richmondville, NY; a daughter Beth Greco of Holyoke; a step-son Kenny Drummer of Holyoke; a sister, Anna (Greco) Sferrazza of Enfield, CT; a granddaughter Danielle Smith of Hyde Park, NY; a grandson Millard Sperbeck of Richmondville, NY; nephews Joseph and Colleen Sferrazza of Enfield, CT, and David Sferrazza and his partner Job Stanley of Seminole, FL; nieces Lynn Sferrazza of Suffield, CT, Sandra Sferrazza of Seminole, FL, and Laura Sferrazza of Seminole, FL and Enfield, CT; and his very dear friend John O’Donnell. Philip will be sadly missed. The funeral will be held Wednesday May 24 at 1:00pm from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke, followed by Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 1:30pm. Committal with Military Honors will be held at 3:00pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 11:30am to 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in memory of Philip to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
