HOLYOKE: Frances L. Blanchard, 69, of Lynwood Avenue, Holyoke, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 14, 2018 after a short illness. Frances was born in Lyndonville, Vermont on March 20, 1949 to Gladys (Kimplin) Lanoue and Francis Couture. Frances was educated in Bernardston and Greenfield Schools before moving to Holyoke. Frances worked for many years as a CNA and loved to crochet. She was predeceased by her husband Norman in 2002. Frances leaves a son, William (Barbara) Guy of Belchertown, a daughter, Jean (Lorenzo) Cote of Orange, and four grandchildren, Steven, Courtney, Ryan and Jessica. Frances also leaves four sisters, Alice (Nick) Nichlopus of Holyoke, Dorothy (Dottie) Couture, Kathryn (Ritchie) Therrien, both of Westfield and Patricia (John) L’heureux of Chicopee, as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
