Harold A. Little, age 88, of Holyoke, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday August 26, 2017 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Springfield, MA on May 22, 1929, son of the late Henry F. Little and Grace (Boutwell) Little, and grew up in West Springfield, MA. Harold graduated from West Springfield High School in 1947. He was a Town Meeting member in West Springfield and worked for the West Springfield Parks & Recreation Department. Harold worked at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT and retired after 37 ½ years. He also worked for Chicopee Concrete and was a Past Master of West Springfield Grange #147. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mavis (Hill) Little. They were married February 14, 1953 at Mittineague Methodist Church in West Springfield. Harold was a kind and caring father who was always there for his three daughters, Beverly Little Ouellette (Lee) of Granby, MA; Diane Foss (Bill) of West Springfield, MA; Lori Jewett (Marty) of Granby, MA; Papa to Ashley Foss, Alyssa Foss, Chad Jewett, Becca Jewett, and Chase Ouellette. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30pm with a family prayer service to be held at 6:30 in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke, MA. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Special thank you to Harold’s hospice team, Dr. Alicia Ross, Natalya, Nina, and Suzanne for the loving care they gave to Harold.
