Helen (Aleksandrowicz) Pecia, age 86, of Holyoke passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Loomis House in Holyoke.  She was born in Apolda, Germany, daughter of the late Jan and Pelagia Aleksandrowicz. Helen worked in housekeeping for many years at the Holyoke Mall at Ingleside. She is survived by her three sons, John and his wife Lou Ann of South Hadley, George and his wife Beth of Hampden and William and his fiancé Karen Broskey of Belchertown, as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Tadeusz Pecia, who passed away in 2006; three brothers, Edward, Frank and Carl; and her sister, Elfride, who all resided in Germany. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. The funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Loomis House, 298 Jarvis Ave, Holyoke, MA 01040 where she received excellent and compassionate care in her final years.
