SOUTH HADLEY
Joseph A. Manarite of South Hadley passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Holyoke and raised in South Hadley, he graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School and attended Holyoke Community College. Joseph worked for many years at Riverbend Medical Group, most recently as an EPIC analyst. He leaves his husband Vincent Bracali-Manarite who brought love, life and laughter to his last two years; his beloved sister Rose Marie of South Hadley, as well as his two “girls”, Aslan and Zeytin, his Maine Coon cats. He also leaves his best friend Laurie Shaw and many friends and family. Joseph was a sweet, kind, loving and magical person who touched countless lives, even to his last day. Special thanks to the Advanced Heart Failure team at Baystate Medical Center, the amazing staff of HVCC, PCU and M7 who made his last months and days special. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all of you. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Advanced Heart Failure Program at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield MA or to a charity of one’s choice.
