HOLYOKE

Karl E. Krause, age 68, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Stewart and Lillian (Dodge) Krause and was a graduate of Holyoke High School.  Karl served in the United States Army Veteran in the Vietnam War era.  He is survived by two sons, Kirk and his wife Amanda and Karl W. Krause, all of Holyoke; a brother, Gary Krause of Holyoke; a sister, Judith Frost of Carver, MA; two grandchildren, Lailee and Katelyn Krause; as well as seven nieces and nephews; Shelly, Laurie, Skip, Gillian, Richard, Cheryl, and Craig. Besides his parents, Karl was predeceased by a brother Stewart. Committal with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in memory of Karl to a Charity of One’s Choice.
