HOLYOKE: Lorraine Westbrook, 73, of Holyoke, passed away Sunday April 8, 2018 at Holyoke Health Care Center. She was born in Americus, Georgia daughter of the late Eddie and Adrilla (Paschal) Westbrook, and graduated from Rome Free Academy in Rome, New York. Lorraine worked at various law firms in Washington D.C. and retired in 2000 after working for 26 years as the Administrative Assistant to the Rev. Jesse Jackson. She has lived in this area since 2001 and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Community Church. Lorraine is survived by a son, Karl P. Johnson and his longtime girlfriend Teresa Lewis of Springfield; a grandson Devin Jay Johnson; three brothers: David Westbrook and his wife Rita, and Eugene Westbrook, both of Rome, NY, and Vincente Westbrook and his wife Angela of Louisville, KY; three sisters: Jennie Young, Deloris Berry, and Regina Westbrook, all of Holyoke; a sister-in-law Alberta Westbrook, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Eddie Westbrook and three sisters: Ula Mae Hall, Roseta Edwards, and Coreatha Janas. A calling hour will be held Thursday April 12 from 11 am to 12 noon at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. A Memorial Service will be held at 12noon followed by burial in Forestdale West Cemetery, Rock Valley Road, Holyoke.
