SPRINGFIELD

Nicholas Pleppo Jr., age 61, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Nicholas and Gloria Pleppo and was educated in the Holyoke schools. Nick was a thirty-five year employee of Avery-Dennison Corporation (formerly National Blank Book Company). He enjoyed weightlifting, karate, collecting Native American artifacts, crafting boats, carving via wood burning, sports cars, camping, long drives and taking pictures of scenery.  He is survived by a son, Nicholas Pleppo III of New Bern, NC; two daughters: Jennifer Carlson of Nashua, NH and Nycole Labonte of Westfield; a grandson Christopher Carlson of Springfield; a sister Deborah LeBlanc of West Springfield, and two nieces: Cheryl Theroux of Chicopee and Tracy LeBlanc of Middletown, CT. Calling hours will be held Monday, September 18^th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
