HOLYOKE:  Oliver Vernon Steele, of Holyoke, born June 6, 2017 went to meet the Lord Monday, July 17, 2017. His mother and father, Lori and Timothy Steele, feel privileged and blessed to have been this precious boy’s parents for these six short weeks. Oliver’s brief life was filled only with love and joy. He is survived by his sister Bethany and brother Benjamin; grandparents Mike and Linda Steele, of Holyoke, Vernon and Sandra Kellogg, of Easthampton, and Lon Winchell and his girlfriend Kathleen Archer, of Southwick; great-grandparents, Gerald and Lillian Ethier, of Westfield, Arlene Kellogg, of Westfield, and Geraldine Klonoski, of Westfield. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. While Oliver’s family and friends feel saddened by this sudden and unexpected loss, we find peace and hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ, whose strong arms hold Oliver now. We’ll see him again some glorious day in Heaven. A Funeral Service will be held for Oliver on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Oliver to Mountain View Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 310 Apremont Highway, Holyoke, MA 01040.
