HOLYOKE:  Richard P. O’Connor, 74, of Holyoke passed away peacefully at Holyoke Medical Center on Thursday, June 29, 2017.  He was born November 25, 1942 in Springfield, MA, son of the late John and Weona O’Connor.  Richard lived in the Wyben section of Westfield for many years and had lived in Holyoke for the past four years.   He was a United States Army Veteran and had retired from Sweet Life Foods in Windsor, CT after 40 years and Holyoke Mall Maintenance.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Ellen and a sister, Barbara Costa of Somerset, MA.  Rich’s favorite pastime was hanging out at J.P.’s Restaurant with the girls playing Keno.  All services are private. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
