HOLYOKE:  Rollande B. (Tavernier) Markoski, age 91, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Loomis House in Holyoke.  She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Raymond and Hermine (Superant) Tavernier and attended Springfield Schools.  Rollande was a member of the Polish National Women’s Alliance and was a longtime parishioner of Mater Dolorosa Church.  She was predeceased by her husband Alexander A. Markoski on March 26, 2012.  She is survived by a son, Kenneth A. Markoski and his wife Christina of Westford, MA; two grandchildren, Alex and Andrew Markoski; and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, Rollande was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Markoski, a brother Raymond Tavernier, and a sister Lucille Martin.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cross Church, 23 Sycamore Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley.  A private calling hour for family will be held prior to the funeral from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
