SPRINGFIELD: Shirley M. (Folwell) DeCaro, 83, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Corby, England, and was a longtime resident of Naples FL, where she loved the beach and was an avid collector of shells. Shirley was totally dedicated to her family. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Frank DeCaro; three children: Michael Scibelli of East Longmeadow, Robert Mellberg of Somers CT, and Carol Butler and husband Jeffrey of South Windsor CT, two grandchildren: Michael Scibelli and Nicole Scibelli-Chew and husband Robert Chew, and a great grandson, Maverick. She was predeceased by two daughters-in-law: Maria Scibelli and Michele Mellberg. All services will be private. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke is handling arrangements.
