SPRINGFIELD:  Thomas B. Woods, 66, of Springfield, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Thomas J. and Eleanor M. (Whitehead) Woods and graduated from Springfield Technical High School. Tom had a long career as a computer programmer and owner of Phoenix Computer Systems. He was the I.T. Director for the Holyoke Police and Fire Departments, as well as other area businesses. He is survived by a brother, Wayne Woods and his wife Joan of Agawam, nieces Alison and Jessica Woods of Brighton. He will be deeply missed by his extended family Michael and Cynthia Colello of Springfield, Kirk and Stacy Weingarten of Springfield, and Billy and Kim Winslow of Springfield. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 27, from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Barry J. Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, 01040. Funeral service to follow at 11:30 am. Burial is private.
