Worth and I were teen age friends in Anchorage Alaska. I am in Texas and he left Alaska headed to San Angelo, Texas. We lost contact but today I was looking through a scrap book and found a several post card he had written to me. I decided to find him. To my sad surprise I found I was to late. He was my dear friend and will never be forgotten.
May God bless his family.
A friend of long ago,

Deb,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had many great years working with Budge at Eastern Specialties, Autron, and Marubeni. I will never forget the day he brought me the ferret to take home. He was laughing all the way to my car and I was scared to death. He sure was a very special person and definitely a gentleman.

Budgie was one of the first friends I met when I moved to Mass . He was a great inspiration to me at the time. I never forgot his words of wisdom "Success breeds success". I named my second daughter Melissa after his daughter and he was so humbled that I did that. Thats just the kind of man he was. Rest in peace dear friend

My heart is sad learning of the passing of this sweet man. I have fond childhood memories of Mr. Plath. He was my Fairview MA neighbor but most importantly my childhood and now adult friend, Missy Plath's, dad. He was such a fun person to be around and did not mind Missy and I blasting our 45 records or us roller skating on the driveway. Fun times. I saw him at Rocky's last summer and he was still the same charming man that I remembered. You will be missed by all that knew you. My regards and prayers to the family who loved you dearly. Rest in peace Mr. Plath, it was a pleasure to know you.

I never met Budge myself, but he was something of a legend to be sure. I was Leah's college roommate at UMass, and Chris talked about his dad often when he was over. It is entirely because of Budge, a man I never knew, that the phrase "turkey shoot at the gravel pit" entered my lexicon. Chris is a funny, talented man, whose company I always enjoyed during my time in the valley, and reading a little about his dad's life, I can see where he got at least some of all that from. My deep condolences on this loss to all of you.

I can't begin to say how much Worth meant to me. He called me his guardian angel when I worked with him at Rocky's. He had to be one of the "true" gentlemen left in this world. Deb, I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am. He was truly loved by everyone, he loved you sooo much and always said he married the most beautiful woman in the world and had the best son and daughter-in-law. He will be missed terribly.
