Anna Mae (McCormick) Rohan, 94, of Holyoke, died Wednesday June 21, 2017 at the Loomis House in Holyoke. Anna was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Skelton) McCormick. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and later worked for many years at the Prescription Center in Holyoke. Anna was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Cross Church and was a member of the Holyoke Boy’s Club-Mother’s Club. She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Rohan, who died in 2005. Anna is survived by her children, Jack and (Donna) Rohan of FL, Kevin and (Maryellen) Rohan of South Hadley, Carol and (Richard) Stawarz of Westfield, Barbara Dean of Holyoke and Nancy and (George) Field of South Hadley. She also leaves her grandchildren, John, Erin, Kelly, Meggie, Jenni, Julie, Kerry, Abbey, Brendan and Allison 4 great grandchildren and a sister, Phyllis LaPlante (Edward) of Holyoke and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Anna was predeceased by a grandson, Frankie and her sisters, Catherine, Mary, Lillian, Margie and Charlotte. Anna’s family would like to thank the caregivers at the Loomis House and Holyoke Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to her. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Monday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Cross Church. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery, both in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke, MA. In lieu of flowers, Anna’s family requests donations be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104.
