Anne Louise Hennessey, age 74, of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Anne K. (Butterfield) Hennessey, and was a 1962 graduate of the former St. Jerome High School. Anne was a retired receptionist at the Valley Opportunity Council in Holyoke, and prior to that had worked in the Records Division of the Holyoke Police Department. She was an avid sports fan; she especially loved Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. She also enjoyed NASCAR Racing, reading, watching reality TV shows, traveling to Maine, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her great nephew and niece. Anne was a very joyful person who had a great personality. She is survived by a son, David Hennessey of Holyoke; two sisters, Patricia K. Hennessey and Kathleen M. Hennessey Perry both of Holyoke; two nieces, Tricia M. Hennessey and her lifelong companion Russell Johnson of Chicopee, and Kimberly Perry Izquierdo and her husband Luiz of Holyoke; a great-nephew, Wesley Izquierdo; and a great-niece, Natalie Izquierdo. Anne was predeceased by a brother, William F. Hennessey in 2011. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 9 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Patrick Chapel of St. Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street. Burial will be held at a later date. Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
