Barbara E. Lavallee

HOLYOKE

Barbara E. (Savard) Lavallee, age 85, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow. She was born in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Hector A. and Irene L. (Mercier) Savard, and was educated in Holyoke schools. Barbara worked at Springfield Photomount in Holyoke for 46 years, retiring in 1992. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Donald O. Lavallee; one daughter, Beatrice I. Trombley and husband Michael of East Longmeadow; six grandchildren: Savannah and Michael Trombley, Kimberly Bruno, Donald J. Lavallee, and Robert and Christina Perkins; a great-granddaughter, Madeline Bruno; a sister, Shirley Hogenhout, of Stetson, ME; and two step-children. The family would like to thank the staff of Care One at Redstone as well as Ascend Hospice for the care given to Barbara. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 22^nd, at 10;30 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 54 North Summer Street. Committal will follow at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:20 am.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barbara to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
