Brian Lawlor Obituary

After an extended illness, Brian (Bri) Joseph Lawlor, age 63, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at his home in Holyoke. Brian was born in Holyoke, a son of the late Bart and Eleanor (D'Amour) Lawlor. He graduated from Holyoke High School and retired as a Lieutenant after 31 years of service with the Holyoke Fire Department. He was predeceased by his brothers, Andy and Neil Lawrence, and his sister, Julie Parnell. Bri is survived by his son, Barry Joseph Lawlor (Trina), of whom he was extremely proud, as well as his beautiful granddaughters, Brielle and Sorina. Also surviving are his brothers, Gary Lawrence (Peggy) and Bart Lawlor (Donna); his sister, Patricia Lucchesi; and his ex-wives, Lucy Lawlor and Jody Wallace.  His family wants to thank his Hospice workers, especially Laurie Ann, for all their help during this difficult time. They also want to thank the Holyoke Fire Department for their help and cooperation, and they especially want to thank the many family members and friends that attended his Irish wake at Griffin's Cafe on the night of his passing, particularly Frank Brunelle, Rick Kennedy, John Tobin, and Mark Schaufler, who provided a lot of relief to the family during this ordeal. A memorial service will follow at a later date. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
