HOLYOKE
Camille J. (Nicoloro) Matuszek, age 82, of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Framingham, a daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Bengiovanni) Nicoloro and was educated in the Framingham schools. Camille had lived here in Holyoke since 1962 and was employed as a bookkeeper in the Holyoke Public School System and later at Liquors 44 in Holyoke. She was a longtime communicant of and 40-year CCD teacher at the former Mater Dolorosa Parish, and was a recipient of the Pope Pius X Award for excellence in religious education. Camille was the widow of Edward V. Matuszek, who passed away on September 16, 2009. She is survived by two sons, Vincent F. Matuszek of Holyoke, and David E. Matuszek and his wife Jennifer of Lyndeborough, New Hampshire; a granddaughter, Hannah Matuszek; one sister, Ann Szostak of New Jersey, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Camille was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Nicoloro. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 12th, at 9:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 11th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
