Carolyn T. (Tessier) Pelletier

Carolyn T. (Tessier) Pelletier, age 76, of West Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Claire M. (Roy) Tessier, and attended Holyoke Schools. Carolyn received a Bachelor’s Degree in English from The College of Our Lady of The Elms in Chicopee and an MBA from Western New England College in Springfield. A lifelong Chicopee resident, she was employed as an accountant for many years at Spaulding Sports Worldwide in Chicopee, retiring in 2001. While at Spaulding, she also served as President of their Office Workers Union. Carolyn was a member of Amherst Writers & Artists Group, Odyssey Book Group, and Shakespeare Book Group. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Deacon Frederick J. Pelletier; two sons: Anthony Pelletier and his wife Angela of Chicopee and Chad Pelletier of Windsor, Conn.; three grandchildren: Kevin Pelletier and his wife Kaitlin, Krissy Pelletier, and Brianna Pelletier; three brothers: Roy Tessier and his wife Kay of Ashland, Thomas Tessier of Chicopee, and Henry Tessier and his wife Carol of Chicopee; as well as several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was predeceased by a son, Daniel Pelletier in 2008; a grandson, Patrick Pelletier; and a sister, Patricia Roy. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 25th at 8:45 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Fairview. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carolyn’s memory to Baystate Hospice & Home Health, 30 Capital Drive, West Springfield, MA 01089.
