Cecile Therese (Langlois) Ross, 90, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully Saturday August 5, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. Cecile was born in Chicopee, daughter of the late William and Angelina (Beaudry) Langlois. She was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Parish in Aldenville for many years, and had worked in retail at Fanny Farmer in Holyoke. Cecile was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed square dancing with her husband, spending time with her friends in the Holyoke Towers, and cherished her time spent with all of her grandchildren. She was the widow of William F. Ross, who died in 2001. She is survived by four daughters: Sandra L. Tardy of West Springfield, Sharon Riley and her husband Russell of Feeding Hills, Cynthia Davies of Enfield, CT, and Nancy Janicki of Feeding Hills; two sons: Steven Ross and Kevin Ross, both of Chicopee; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Cecile was predeceased by her son Richard Ross. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Rene Langlois, Edward Langlois, Edgar Langlois, Loretta Malo, Germaine Desrosiers, and Annette King. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke, followed by Mass in St. Rose de Lima Church at 9:00am. Burial will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11:00am. Calling hour will be held prior to the service beginning at 8:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, 1001 Worcester Road, Suite 2, Framingham, MA 01701.
