Charles Francis "Charlie" McCann, Jr.

CHICOPEE

Charles Francis McCann, Jr., age 52, passed away Thursday October 17, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center after a brief illness. Charlie was born in Holyoke, son of the late Charles F. and Doreen (Quenneville) McCann and graduated from Holyoke High School. He worked for many years as a bartender, waiter, and server in the food industry for various restaurants, bars, and most recently in the cafeteria at Chicopee High School. Charlie was a member of the Eagles Club in Springfield. He is survived by his family: a sister, Jeannette McCann of Monson; two nieces: Heidi Garron and Kendra Garron, both of Holyoke and their families; a nephew, Kenny Garron of Holyoke and his family; and his many many friends including his closest lifelong friends, Stephen, Phil, Jimmy, and Mariann. The family would also like to recognize Corina and Jerry Forcier who were always there for Charles. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Michelle (Woollerton) Garron. A Celebration of Life and benefit will take place Tuesday October 22 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Eagles Club, 530 St. James Ave. Springfield, MA 01109.
