David Mackey

David Mackey, age 62, passed away unexpectedly Saturday November 9, 2019 at home. David was born in Albany, Georgia to Carol (Hohenberger) Mackey and the late Paul Mackey.  Dave grew up in Holyoke where he continued to reside for the duration of his life. He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a longtime member of the Diablos Motorcycle Club.  He was a kind and selfless person who was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Dave is survived by his daughters: Trisha Wilson (Tim Wilson), Laura Mackey (Corey McAndrews), and Shaina Mackey (Julio Rodriguez), all of Holyoke; 5 grandchildren: Avrianna, Andrew, Taegan, Julius, and Colin; his brothers: Kirk Mackey (Lise) of South Hadley, Jeffrey Mackey (Gail) of South Hadley, and Peter Mackey of Holyoke; his good friend and mother of his children, Darlene (Beauchemin) Mackey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his father, Dave was predeceased by his son, Brian Mackey, and granddaughter, Keira Wilson. A funeral service will be held Friday Novemeber 15 at 10:00am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will be held Thursday November 14 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
