Donald F. Romano passed away suddenly on Thursday August 24, 2017, with his loving family by his side, after losing a brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was born on September 27, 1948 to the late David and Merceline (Demers) Romano. Don grew up in West Springfield, and moved to Westfield in 1975. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 49 years, Ramona T. (Rossetti) Romano; his daughter, Andrea Mancini and husband Robert; his son Anthony Romano; three siblings: David Romano and his wife Sue, Duane Romano and his wife Bonnie, and his beloved sister Diane Romano and her late wife Anne Cullen. He cherished time spent with his three grandchildren, Sabrina, Marissa, and Michael Mancini. He also leaves an extended loving family and very dear friends. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday September 2 at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield, MA. Visitation will be held in the church prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:00am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105
