E. Roger Lussier

June 4, 1939 ~ May 8, 2018 (age 78)

HOLYOKE:  E. Roger Lussier of Holyoke, passed away at home on May 8, 2018 after a courageous 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Roger was born in Holyoke on June 4, 1939 to the late Elmer and Simonne (DuBois) Lussier.  He was a graduate of Holyoke High School in 1957 and attended Holyoke Junior College before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He began his career in construction with the Lawler Construction Company and then owned Encon Inc., Excelam Inc., and finally Lussier Industries in Chicopee, MA.  He was also the owner of Bay Yachts, Inc.  Roger was a lifetime member of Holyoke Lodge of Elks, #902 and also belonged to the Beavers Club of Hampden and Hampshire Counties. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Peter E. Lussier.  Roger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charlotte (Herder) Lussier; 4 daughters, Laurie Hoey (James) of Holyoke, Alison Batchelder (Chip) of Boston, Jennifer Price (Lantz) of Beaufort, SC and Caroline Corsini (Chard) of Marblehead, and one son, Mark Lussier of Holyoke.  He also leaves 13 grandchildren:  Jillian and Matthew Hoey, Bryn, Hallie, Chad, and Sam Batchelder, Hayden and Grayson Price, Nicolas, Isabella, and Will Corsini and Charlotte and Rowan Lussier; one sister, Adelaide Rigali of Holyoke, a brother-in-law, Fred Herder, one niece and one nephew.  Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1810 Northampton Street, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be a later date.  Please omit flowers.  Donations in Rogers memory may be made to First Lutheran Church, 1810 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 or Cooley Dickinson Hospice, 168 Industrial Drive, East, #1, Northampton, MA 01060.  The Barry J.
