I am saddened to hear of Eleanor's passing. She and my mom, Ida Micheli Demers were good friends.
My mom passed away in 2011.
I'm not sure how they met but they had known each other all their lives.
We picked Eleanor up many times at her home in South Hadley to go out to lunch together. I recall her showing us her art work with pride. Eleanor was a good friend to my mom. So many of my mom's friend's and family had passed away that we valued Eleanor's friendship even more.
I remember Eleanor's strong personality and positive attitude and I hope she was able to keep those parts of herself to the end. I can picture her and mom so vividly.
I would love to meet you, her extended family, in person on Saturday however a family obligation prevents me from coming to her service.
Please accept my sincerely condolences on your loss.
