Evelyn Barbara (Pudlo) Krisak

Evelyn Barbara (Pudlo) Krisak, age 86, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday January 14, 2019 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Peter and Olympia (Strzempek) Pudlo, and was a 1950 graduate of Holyoke High School. A lifelong resident of Holyoke, Evelyn was a communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church, and a Member of the Polish Women’s Alliance of America Group #141. She was the widow of John J. Krisak, who died December 23, 1998. Evelyn is survived by three sons: Peter Krisak and his wife Kathleen of Granby, MA, James Krisak of Holyoke, and Leonard Krisak and his wife Lynn of South Hadley; two daughters: Ellen Stevenson and her husband Scott of Holyoke, and Susan Krisak of Holyoke; 7 grandchildren: Collin, Jack, Adam, Sarah, and Brendan Stevenson, Melissa Gilbert, and Jennifer King; four great-grandchildren: Logan, Bella, Jadyn, and Noah; two sisters: Phyllis Flynn of South Hadley, and Barbara Stelmach of Holyoke; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by four brothers: Frank, Theodore, Edmund, and Albin Pudlo; and three sisters: Adele Chmura, Stasia Skoczylas, and Helen Zajchowski. Evelyn was a kind and generous soul with a great sense of humor, who gave her whole heart and soul to her family. The Krisak family would like to especially thank Evelyn’s sister Barbara for her love and support as well as the caregivers from Holyoke Hospice LifeCare and Home Health Solutions for their kind and compassionate care, especially Mary. The funeral will be held Saturday January 19 at 9:00am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by Mass at 10:00am in St. Patrick Chapel of St. Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Friday 4:00 to 7:00pm.
