Glenn B. Conway
March 31, 1950 ~ April 24, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years OldSOUTH HADLEY: Glenn B. Conway, 67, died April 24, 2017 while hiking the famous Sandakphu-Phalut route in West Bengal, India. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Bernard and June Conway and graduated from Holyoke High School. Glenn went on to complete his Bachelor of Science and Master’s of Business Administration degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He taught science in the Holyoke Public Schools for 34 years from 1975 to 2009. An avid outdoorsman, most days Glenn could be found hiking the Mt. Tom State Reservation. Glenn is survived by a sister, June Beth Greener and her husband Walter of Golden Valley, Arizona; two nephews: Walter Greener (Nicole) and Ralph Greener (Shannon), of Arizona; a niece: Jennifer Dulude of FL, as well as several great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bruce Conway. A funeral service will be held Friday May 12 at 11:00am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. Holyoke. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glenn’s memory to the Trustees of Reservations, Long Hill, 572 Essex St. Beverly, MA 01915.
