Grace McCarthy Obituary

Grace Cecila McCarthy, age 97, a longtime resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born in Holyoke on June 8, 1920, daughter of the late Malachi and Julia McCarthy of Holyoke. Grace was raised in Holyoke and lived there until moving to Westfield three years ago. She was a loving woman who enjoyed life. Grace loved playing bingo, holding babies and watching Wheel of Fortune. She was happiest when she could ride the merry go round at Heritage Park in Holyoke, the same one she rode as a child at Mountain Park. Grace will be greatly missed by her many cousins who loved her dearly and her caring friends at Paper Mill Rd in Westfield. Services and burial will be private. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
