HOLYOKE

Irene E. (Hadvab) Sabourin, age 84, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 29, 2017.  She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Fecenko) Hadvab and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. She was the Business Manager at Oak Manor Nursing Home for many years.  Irene was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish.  She enjoyed and loved life to the fullest, and especially cherished moments with her family. Irene was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Albert W. Sabourin in 2011.  She is survived by two sons, David and his wife Patricia of Chicopee and Steven and his wife Beverly of Granby, three daughters, Karen Godbout and her husband Mario of Holyoke, Cynthia A. Burns and her husband Brian of Belchertown, and Debra A. Girard and her husband Ernie of Holyoke; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Evan Sabourin and a sister, Anna Cervonayco.  The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street.  Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
