Jean A. (Patterson) Henderson

Jean Alma (Patterson) Henderson, age 90, of Agawam, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Heritage Hall West.  She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late John and Alma (Weber) Patterson and attended Moore Art College in Philadelphia.  Jean was a professional artist and had previously worked as an arranger at The Flower Shop in Westfield. She enjoyed volunteering at Noble Hospital in Westfield.  Jean was the widow of John R. Henderson, who predeceased her on February 1, 2011.  She is survived by two children, Robert J. Henderson and his wife Fiona of Colorado Springs, CO and Barbara J. Bernard and her husband Christopher of Holyoke; four grandchildren, Brian Bernard (Jessica) of Wethersfield, CT, Jeffrey Bernard (Ellen) of Suffield, CT, Leeann Bernard of San Diego, CA and Megan Henderson of CO as well as three great grandchildren, Brayden, Abby and Reagan Bernard.  A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jean to Rays of Hope, c/o Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
