HOLYOKE: Jeannette M. (Tetreault) McEvady Guevin, 93, a longtime resident of Loomis House in Holyoke, was called safely home from Holyoke Medical Center on Thursday, May 10, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chicopee, daughter of the late Edgar and Eva (Vincent) Tetreault and was educated there. Jeannette lived in Holyoke for many years, working in food service at Providence Hospital and the former P.O. Spa. She enjoyed playing bingo, and loved cats. Jeannette is survived by two sons: William McEvady of Holyoke and Edward Guevin of AZ, a daughter-in-law Catherine M. McEvady of Holyoke, four grandchildren: James McEvady and his wife Andrea, Brian McEvady, Erin Narey and her husband Bob, and Maureen McEvady; four great grandchildren: Connor, Jack and Joseph Narey, and Chance McEvady; a brother Roger Tetreault of Gill, a sister Theresa Mascaro of Worthington, and many nieces and nephews. Jeannette was predeceased by her first husband, John McEvady, a son James McEvady, two brothers, Albert and Edward Tetreault, and two sisters, Alice Kravitz and Loretta Rojko. The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 15th at 9:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street. Burial will be held at a later date in Sainte Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee.
