HOLYOKE
John J. “Jack” Cadigan Jr., age 90, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late John J. and Mary (Kirkpatrick) Cadigan and was a 1945 graduate of Holyoke High School. Jack was a United States Army Air Forces Veteran of World War II, and a retired Clerk for the United States Government. He was a member of American Legion Post 325 of Holyoke, and enjoyed playing tennis at the Holyoke Canoe Club. Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by two brothers, James M. Cadigan and Thomas C. Cadigan, and two sisters, Margaret Cadigan and Sister Mary Cadigan S.S.J. He is survived by three nephews: James M., Thomas M. and Patrick J. Cadigan; two nieces: Kathleen Winters and Nancy Judge, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 10th at 10:20 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, 23 Sycamore Street. Burial will be in Saint Jerome Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:20 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Springfield, 577 Carew Street, Springfield MA 01104.
