John C. Summers

HOLYOKE 

John C. Summers, 88, of Holyoke, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Holyoke. He was born in LaFollette, TN.  John was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and later worked for Scott Paper Company in Holyoke for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Mitchell, John, Karen and Lisa; a brother, Bob; and sisters, Maureen and Edith; 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  John was predeceased by his children, Joseph and Sandra.  A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday at 11:45 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St. followed by burial with Military Honors at 1:00 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.  A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled American Veterans- Chapter 41, 310 Appleton St, Holyoke, MA 01040.
