Joyce (Jochim) Waller

Joyce (Jochim) Waller, age 76, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Eugene J. and Margaret (Ramsay) Jochim, and was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Holyoke Community College, Fitchburg State College, and New England Baptist School of Nursing. Joyce was a retired Registered Nurse at Holyoke Medical Center, working in the Oncology Department. She was also a Hospice Volunteer at the Holyoke Soldiers Home.  Joyce had served in the United States Army Reserves for eight years and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Chicopee. She is survived by two sons: Andrew Waller and Jeremy Waller, both of Chicopee; two daughters: Ruth-Ellen Klee and her husband Robert of Chicopee and Lynda Waller of Chicopee; four grandchildren: Kyle Klee, Sean Klee, Samantha Waller, and Karina Hebert; a great grandson and one brother, Jeffrey Jochim and his wife Maureen of Southwick. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at Forestdale Cemetery, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joyce to the American Cancer Society, 330 Whitney Ave #420, Holyoke, MA 01040
