HOLYOKE
Julie (Pacholec) Haluck, a lifelong resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 2, 2019, with her loving family by her side. Julie was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Sikora) Pacholec. She was a parishioner of the former Mater Dolorosa Church and a member of the Polish Alliance #141. She worked at the Electric Game in Holyoke for many years but excelled at being a caring and loving mom and wife. She was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Casimir Haluck in 1999, her daughter Elaine Haluck in 1967 and her son Richard Haluck in 2015. Julie also joins in Heaven, her brothers and sisters: Bernice Kwosz, Stephen Pacholec, Joan Larivee, and Anthony Pacholec. She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Chuck Haluck and his wife Nilceia of Holyoke, two grandchildren Lisa and Johnathan Haluck along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank two special friends, Rosemary Negron and Susan Bigios for the care and love they showed Julie throughout the years. The funeral will be held on Saturday March 9 at 8:45am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by Mass in Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church (celebrated by Julie’s nephew and spiritual guide the Rev. Dan Pacholec), 127 Holyoke Rd, Westfield, at 10:00am. Burial will take place in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
