HOLYOKE:  Kathleen T. (Maloney) Kennedy, 90, of Holyoke, died Thursday November 30, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in South Boston, daughter of the late Martin and Bridget (Brown) Maloney and was a 1947 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Kathleen operated the concession stand at the Sundown Drive Inn Theatre in Westfield for many years. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Her best times were those spent with the family, and she loved, the frequent visits from her beloved nieces. Her smile, laugh, and loving nature lit every place she visited and left people looking forward to sharing more time with her. To know her was to love her. Kathleen is survived by her husband, James F. Kennedy; two sons: Gary J. Kennedy of South Hadley and James J. Kennedy of Westfield; and a daughter, Maureen Jagodowski and her husband Thomas of South Hadley. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, TJ, Troy, Gary, Katelyn, Sean, Lauren, and James; and one great granddaughter. A special thanks to her grandson Troy, whom she called “her angel.” Kathleen was predeceased by a grandson, Todd, and her daughter-in-law Diane Kennedy. A funeral home service will be held Tuesday December 5 at 1:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
