Linda C. (Day) Welzyn

Linda C. Day Welzyn, of Chicopee, lost her battle that she fought bravely for many years.  She passed away peacefully on July 24, 2018.  Linda was the daughter of Alfred Day and Erna M. Pueschel.  Linda came from a large family including her sister Erna-Mary of Chicopee, brother Alfred and his wife Linda of Southampton and a brother Lawrence of Southampton. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Day, and sisters Nancy Hurley and Patricia Shea.  Linda leaves behind Roland Lapointe Jr.  who was not only her caretaker but also life partner whom loved her like no other.   She leaves two daughters Lynn Genereux of Florida and Patricia and her husband Jerry McDonald of Chicopee.  She leaves her beloved grandchildren Alexandria of Chicopee, Anthony of Florida and JT of Chicopee and Cassidy of West Springfield and her treasured great grandson William with whom she lovingly nicknamed Bubbles.  The funeral will be held Saturday July 28 at 9:00a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. A graveside service will be held at 10:00a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Holyoke.
