Those we love don’t go away

They walk beside us every day

Not seen or heard, but always close by

A new angel looking over us, with wings to fly

 Lise Cecile Provost (Blais), age 54, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully while she slept on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Lise had called Holyoke home since her birth, and lived with her husband Robert Provost Jr.  Together, they enjoyed spending time with their families; whether that meant traveling to Florida to see their daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Jason, or taking their dog for a walk, spending time together is what meant most.  In their younger years, most of their time was spent traveling with their daughter Jennifer to various softball tournaments; and there was a lot of traveling.  Lise also enjoyed playing a game of Bingo, here and there.  If Bingo wasn’t an option, Lise loved spending time winning at her games on her iPad. Lise was called home just a few days before the birth of her first grand-child, Jace Robert Cournoyer; she joins her parents Claude and Jeannette and her sister Fabienne as another guardian angel looking over her family.  She leaves behind her daughter, son in law, and grand-child, Jennifer and Jason Cournoyer and Jace Cournoyer, her husband Robert Provost Jr., her siblings Claudette, Jocelyn, and Slyvain, and her step-sister Diane. Her life is a loving memory that is a treasure to her family.  She will forever live in their hearts; there is now a little bit of heaven in their homes. Over 700,000 Americans will suffer a heart attack this year. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association in Lise’s name; their research could prove valuable for saving someone’s loved one. Viewing will be held at Barry J Farrell Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm.  Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00am.  Burial will follow at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee.
