HOLYOKE
Marguerite Lucille (Labarre) Beaudry, age 92, lifelong resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 14, 2019 at Holyoke Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. Marguerite was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Ernest J. and Fabiola (Guilbault) Labarre, and attended Perpetual Help School and Precious Blood High School. Marguerite was a Sales Clerk for many years, first at Grants in Holyoke, beginning in 1960 until its closing, and later at Steiger’s in Holyoke until its closing in 1994. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, formerly Sacred Heart. She enjoyed cross stitch, colored pencil drawing, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed being with family. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Frederick J. Beaudry in 1993. She is survived by two daughters: Patricia M. Redfern and her husband Peter of Chicopee; Susan M. Cayer and her husband Richard of Feeding Hills; two grandsons: Brendan Cayer (Heather), and Andrew Cayer (and fiancée Tori); a brother, Ernest Labarre and his wife Doris of Waunakee, Wisconsin; and five nephews: Edward O’Connor (Marge), Dennis O’Connor (Ron), Michael Labarre (Karen), Daniel Labarre, and Gerald Gladu (Catherine). She was predeceased by her sister, Mary L. Gladu, and a nephew, Paul Labarre, and an infant son. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses, caregivers, and staff of Holyoke Health Care Center for the compassionate care give to Marguerite. The funeral will be held Tuesday May 21 at 8:30am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by Mass in St. Patrick Chapel of St. Jerome Church at 9:30am. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday May 20 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
