Marguerite (Kreuter) Munns

Marguerite K. (Kreuter) Munns, age 93, of Holyoke, died on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. Marguerite worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone Company for many years, and was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in South Hadley. She is predeceased by her husband Michael J. Munns who died in 1998. Marguerite is survived by her daughters: Patricia (Gene), Susan (Matt), and Cheryl (Noel); her grandchildren: Eugene, John, Paul, William, Caitlin, Courtney, and Michael; and her siblings: Arthur, William (Jean), and Geraldine. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by two sons, Michael and Robert, and her brothers Gerald and Herb. Marguerite’s family would like to thank The Arbors in Chicopee and her dear friend Judy Nadler for their support, and most especially Day Brook Village for their loving care. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 9 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Marguerite’s memory to Jericho, P.O. Box 1039 Holyoke, MA 01041.
