Mary J. (Doyle) Moffatt

Mary J. (Doyle) Moffatt, age 87 of Chicopee, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday December 8, 2018. Mary was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late William H. and Emily (Carroll) Doyle, and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1949. She did office and administration work for the former Worthington Corporation/Atlas Copco as well for the Congregation of the Sons of Zion. Mary was a parishioner of St. Anne’s Church in the Fairview section of Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband John D. Moffatt in October of 1994. She is survived by two daughters: Lisa A. Petrovsky of Westfield, and Janet M. Lanier of Chicopee; five grandchildren: John Wozniak, Stephanie Moore, Wendy Krupa, Dustin Lanier, and Laura Goulet; and 7 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her brother, William H. Doyle. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne’s Church, Fairview. Burial will be held in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
