HOLYOKE:  Mary P. (Wagner) Ripa, age 94, of Holyoke, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at home. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Paul and Sarah (Palmer) Wagner and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. Mary taught night courses in the Holyoke, Westfield, Hadley, and Easthampton School Systems.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Friends of the Holyoke Library.  Mary was predeceased by her husband, Attorney Samuel W. Ripa in 2005. She is survived by a son, Mark Ripa of Martha’s Vineyard, three grandchildren, Kendyll Gage-Ripa, Jillian Ripa and Bryan Ripa; three great grandchildren, Ashley Ripa, Isaiah Ripa and Justin Covert as well as many nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, Mary was predeceased by her sons, Peter and Paul Ripa and her sisters, Anna Hebert and Barbara Halle.  Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Home Service on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.  Burial will be at a later date. There are no calling hours. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
