Mary Patricia (Golden) Tourigny

Mary Patricia “Pat” (Golden) Tourigny, age 72, of Holyoke passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at home surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Patrick A. and Margaret W. (McCarthy) Golden and attended Holyoke Schools. Pat worked for Dinn Brothers Trophy Company for more than 50 years, retiring in December of 2016. She is survived by her son, James M. “Jim” Tourigny of Holyoke; a sister-in-law, Susan Golden of Brewster: her nieces and nephews:  John (Gloria) McKenna, Margo (Kevin) Ross, Richard McKenna, Karen Spafford, Jo-Anne (John) Leahy, Patrick (Lori) McKenna, Michael (Jodi) McKenna, Patrick Golden, Margaret “Meg” Thomson and their families, as well as many close friends, including lifelong friend Sue Sullivan. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert T. “Bob” Tourigny, Jr. on November 7, 2009; three brothers, Richard, Thomas, and Robert Golden and her sister, Barbara McKenna.   The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street.  Burial will take place at a later date in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The family asks to please omit flowers.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pat to: Rays of Hope, c/o Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
