HOLYOKE
Michael P. Lamirande passed into eternal life on July 9, 2019 due to complications following throat cancer. He was 66 years old. Michael was born on February 26, 1953 in Holyoke MA to his parents, Edward and Eileen Lamirande. He graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School, Class of 1971. He enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served a total of 13 years. Michael was a diehard Red Sox and Dallas Cowboy fan. He had a passion for music and was known to never miss an opportunity to sing a song, or two, or three of Elvis at any gathering or public establishment. Michael is survived by his sons, Carl Lamirande of Deltona, FL and Matthew Lamirande of Glen Burnie, MD; his grandchildren, His brothers, Edward and wife Noella Lamirande of Jacksonville FL, Thomas (deceased) and wife Louella Lamirande of Holyoke, William and wife Joan Lamirande of Holyoke MA, James Lamirande of Bradenton, FL, Stephen and wife Lisa Lamirande of Griswold, CT; and his sister, Eileen and husband David Hague of Jacksonville, FL. Michael is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in St Jerome’s Church 169 Hampden St. Holyoke followed by burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam. All are welcome to attend. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
