HOLYOKE

Patricia Ruth (Hudson) Fullwood, age 54, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center. Patty was born April 29 1964 to the late George and Ruth Jean (Byram) Hudson in Barre, MA and was a 1982 graduate of Quabbin Regional High School. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at UMass Medical in conjunction with Worcester State for E.M.T. program, Class of 2002. Patty lived to make people happy; she reconciled the sadness we carry silently with powerful empathy. She tacitly understood that to make the people in your life happy was the true path to self-fulfillment. Like a kid blowing raspberries in a quiet church, she politely upheaved convention and owned herself with unique poise. She loved her huskies, New England Patriots, gardening and making everyone laugh with her quick wit. Patty is survived by a son, Rory M. Fullwood of Holyoke; 2 sisters, Gloria Erickson and her husband Donald of Barre, MA and Nancy Barree of Chicopee; her partner, David Robinson of Holyoke and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles E. Hudson; a niece Christine L. Heyes, and a nephew Curtis R. Barree. All services were private. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
