Patricia M. (McAuley) Menard

HOLYOKE

Patricia M. (McAuley) LaBonte Menard, age 71, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. She was born in Worcester and moved to Holyoke at an early age, graduating from Holyoke High School in 1965. Pat enjoyed serving as a timekeeper for high school hockey games and worked tirelessly with the Veterans Administration to erect the Vietnam Veterans Statue at Veterans Park in Holyoke. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were the most important part of her life. She is survived by a son, Robert D. Menard of Allentown, PA; a daughter-in-law, Lori Menard of Holyoke; and thirteen grandchildren, including her dedicated caregiver, Kaitlyn Menard. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. LaBonte, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1968, and a son, Michael Menard, who died in 2013. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 15^th at 10:30 am at St. Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 14^th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street.
