Raymond B. Schmuck

HOLYOKE

Raymond Bernard Schmuck, age 74, of Holyoke, formerly of Hampden, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Springfield, son of the late Raymond A. and Harriet (Kemple) Schmuck.  He lived most of his life in Hampden before moving to Holyoke in 2005.  Ray was a police officer for the Town of Hampden for many years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant in 1995.  He also had served as the General Manager of Durham School Services in Holyoke.  Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Geraldine T. “Gerry” (Small) Schmuck; four children, Stephanie L. Schmuck of Chicopee, Jennifer L. Lane and her husband Tommy of East Longmeadow, Marcie A. Schmuck of Springfield and Stephen R. Schmuck and his wife Dineen of Wilbraham; five grandchildren: Cameron, Kylie, and Neko Schmuck, Tyler and Courtney Grippin and three great- grandchildren: Kaden, Keira, and Mya. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. Burial will be private.  Donations may be made in memory of Ray to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
